About 20 Barriers
The 20 Barriers takes runners through the countryside south of Carnforth on a 5 mile trail loop that crosses field paths, stiles and a canal towpath. The course incorporates the traditional route through the old Lundsfield quarry area, following yellow marker posts to Kellet Road canal bridge and a pale green footbridge down to the towpath. Trail or studded shoes are recommended for the terrain.
Held under FRA rules, the race is open to competitors aged 16 and over. The event is based at Carnforth High School, with start and finish locations adjusted to accommodate new perimeter fencing. Water and juice are available at the finish.
