About 3 Islands Marathon
Taking place on 18 July 2027, the 3 Islands Marathon Hebrides is a 26.2-mile point-to-point road race through the Southern Isles of the Outer Hebrides. The officially measured and Scottish Athletics certified course starts at Lochboisdale Marina on Gasay, winds through South Uist and Benbecula, and finishes at the Dark Island Hotel on Benbecula. Runners cross the causeways connecting the islands while experiencing an exposed Hebridean landscape of coastline, open countryside and distant hills.
The event can be entered individually, as a pair, or as a relay team. For team entries, the marathon route is divided into four sections, allowing competitors to share the distance across the island communities.
