About ABBATHON 5K, 10K and 1 mile Fun Run
ABBATHON 5K & 10K Themed Run takes place on 26 September 2026 in Chepstow, with participants choosing to run one of three distances: a 1 mile route, 5 km, or 10 km. The event is set on trail terrain at Huntfield Road. An ABBA tribute act performs live for at least 45 minutes before the race begins, with ABBA's greatest hits playing throughout the event. Music guides carrying speakers will be positioned along the route to keep the atmosphere energised.
All runners receive chip timing and a special-edition finisher's medal inspired by iconic ABBA elements. Professional photographers capture moments from the day, with photos available free online within 72 hours. Post-race refreshments include fresh fruit, and participants can optionally purchase a limited edition finisher's t-shirt. The event welcomes runners of all abilities—those running, jogging or walking—and while ABBA-inspired costumes are optional, they're encouraged. The event is family-friendly, with children welcome if accompanied by a participating adult.
