About Aberdeen Marathon
The Aberdeen Marathon grew out of the success of the City of Aberdeen Half Marathon, expanding into a full summer running festival with three distances. Taking place on 17 July 2027, the event welcomes runners of all abilities across a 5K, Half Marathon (13.1 miles) and Marathon (26.2 miles), all on road terrain.
Starting and finishing near Marischal College, the courses guide runners through Aberdeen's city centre and showcase landmarks including the River Dee, Aberdeen Beach, the historic Port of Aberdeen and the University of Aberdeen. The event combines lively city streets with coastal scenery, creating a vibrant atmosphere for the race day experience.
