About Abington Festival of Running
Taking place on 4 October 2026, the Abington Festival of Running brings competitive and accessible road racing to Great Abington in Cambridgeshire. Based at Granta Park, the event features 5K and 10K races over officially measured and licensed courses that wind through the villages of Great Abington and Little Abington and the surrounding countryside.
Both main races follow fast, predominantly flat routes, making them suitable for runners chasing personal bests as well as those building experience at either distance. A 2K Fun Run runs alongside the main races, welcoming younger runners and families. The festival is organised in support of Great Abington Primary School.
