About AEPG Great Eastern Run
The AEPG Great Eastern Run takes place on closed roads through Peterborough on 11 October 2026, offering competitors a choice between a 13.1 mile half marathon and a 5 km run. The course is routed entirely on tarmac with minimal elevation gain of 65 metres total, passing through the city centre and the grounds of Peterborough Cathedral. Both distances start and finish at The Embankment.
The half marathon has a cut-off time of 3 hours 30 minutes, while the 5 km run must be completed within 1 hour. The event is open to runners aged 17 and over for the half marathon. On the day, registration opens at 8 am with the half marathon starting at 10:30 am. Chip timing is provided for both distances, and medals are awarded to all finishers.
