A fully off-road loop through Gisburn Forest in the Forest of Bowland forms the basis of this backyard ultra taking place on 24 October 2026. Runners tackle the 6.7 km forest fire road and pine-lined trail circuit repeatedly, starting a fresh lap every hour on the hour until a single competitor remains standing.
Based at Stephen Park Group Accommodation in the Ribble Valley, the event is capped at 200 runners to maintain an intimate atmosphere. Participants can push for their first lap or chase distances well beyond 100 miles beneath the trees. The format rewards endurance and resilience as much as speed, creating a true forest ultra experience where everyone competes against the clock and the forest itself.
