About Antonine Trail 10K
The Antonine Trail 10K takes runners through East Dunbartonshire on 1 November 2026, following trails that wind across the moorland north of Glasgow. Starting and finishing in Twechar, the 10 km route climbs from Colliery Green past Barrhill and a section of the Antonine fort, then heads into Croy with views toward the Kilsyth hills. The course continues over Mount Cookie and Croy Hill before descending steeply to a road crossing and returning to Twechar via Creekie Wood. The terrain is undulating throughout, with significant elevation changes.
This inaugural Kirkintilloch Olympians event reinstates much of the original ATRX 10 km course. Race numbers and chip timing equipment are collected from Twechar Outdoor Pursuits Centre from 08:00, where facilities including toilets, showers and changing areas are available.
