APEX: Forge sends runners over mixed terrain with elevation changes across a gruelling 24 hour loop challenge at The Firs, Stoke Prior, near Bromsgrove. The course is built on a unique structure: participants must complete three laps (totalling 6.81 km) and return to the start line within each hour, with the direction reversing every three hours. Solo runners tackle all their laps themselves, while teams of two to six rotate their runners, with one person on the start line each hour.
The event runs from 3 to 4 July 2027 and includes night running as a mandatory element, requiring a headtorch and reflective gear. Those completing all 24 hours cover a total distance of 163 km. Outside pacing on the course is not permitted, though crew support is allowed at basecamp. Solo participants who drop out can form a team mid-event by registering with Event HQ before the next hour begins.
