About Apperley Quarter Marathon
Set in the countryside around Deerhurst in Gloucestershire, the Apperley Quarter Marathon has been running since 1983. This 6.5-mile trail route takes runners through rural surroundings, passing local churchyards and farmland as it loops through the village. The race is based at Apperley Cricket Club, which serves as the central venue.
The event has deep roots in the community it serves. A separate Kiddython of around 1K runs ahead of the main race, with proceeds supporting the local primary school.
