About Ardgartan Trail Race
Taking place in early February, the Ardgartan Trail Race covers 21 miles around the Ardgartan Peninsula in Arrochar. The route is roughly 90% off-road, combining forestry trails, tarmac sections and open hill terrain. Runners will traverse hilly ground past multiple waterfalls, with a climb to Rest And Be Thankfull forming part of the loop before the final descent to the finish.
Water stations are positioned at 7 and 13 miles. Mandatory kit is required for the winter conditions and possible poor weather, including a small first aid kit for running repairs; full details will be provided three weeks before the event. Parking at Ardgartan Car Park is limited, and car sharing is encouraged.
