About Avenham Amble
The Avenham Amble takes place on Sunday 9 May 2027 in Preston's Avenham Park, with the start and finish at Avenham Park Cafe by the River Ribble. This 10 km trail race follows hard surface paths through Miller Park and across the river into Upper Farm nature reserve and leisure park before returning to the park. The route is undulating and fully marked, with medical cover provided throughout.
The event is structured as a lap-based course, with the 10 km distance comprising one loop plus a short out and back section. Refreshments including water, cordial, coke and snacks are available, along with a bespoke medal and post-run goodies for finishers. The race is held under UKA rules with a Trail Running Association race permit.
