About Ayrshire Coast Sunset Ultra
Llama Fitness Group organises this 50 km trail ultramarathon that unfolds across the Ayrshire coast through the night. Starting at sunset on 4 June 2027 and finishing into sunrise on 5 June, runners navigate beaches, promenades and coastal trails in North Ayrshire.
Aid stations are positioned at 12 km, 25 km and 37 km, stocked with water, sweets, cake and crisps. Drop bags can be collected at the 25 km mark. The course is clearly marked and a GPX file is provided for those using watch navigation. Registration happens at Irvine Beach car park, where gender neutral toilets are available alongside tea and coffee offered for charitable donation. A race briefing takes place on the start line before departure.
