Backyard Ultra racing demands pace and endurance in equal measure. Participants at Blended's Backyard Ultra must complete a 4.16-mile trail loop within each hour, then repeat the challenge for as many hours as they can manage. The winner is the last runner still able to finish a lap; everyone else is recorded as did not finish.
The single marked loop winds through woodland and rural paths near Chilton Candover in Hampshire, incorporating field sidings and gravel track with roughly 120 metres of elevation per lap. The event takes place from 5 to 7 June 2027 at Chilton Manor Farm. An event camp sits at the edge of Godsfield Copse, with camping available across the weekend, food and drink provision at the Yard Cafe, water stations both on route and at base, and medical support on site. Finishers receive bespoke medals and badges.
