About Basingstoke Summer Running Festival
The Basingstoke Summer Running Festival takes place on 10 September 2026, offering trail running options across three distances. Participants can choose between a 1 mile junior race or 5km and 10km options for adults, all held in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
The festival welcomes runners of all abilities and ages, with the junior race aimed at children and athletes aged 4-15, divided into age categories with prizes for the top three in each. The adult 5km is open to those aged 15 and over, whilst the 10km caters to more experienced runners. Both adult races feature category prizes for over 40s, over 50s and over 60s. Participants must complete the 5km and 10km within two hours, and the junior mile within 25 minutes. Parents are welcome to run alongside their children for free, though only registered participants receive medals.
Bib collection happens on the day, with registration closing ten minutes before each race begins. An undercover marquee is available for storing belongings. Dogs are permitted on site if kept on a lead, though they cannot run the course.
