This trail event in Bath sets runners loose on a demanding circuit of rough tracks and steep climbs around the Lansdown area. The 10 km course ascends almost 300m through chalk hills dotted with stiles and kissing gates, while the 13.1 mile half marathon doubles that elevation gain with a challenging 600m total ascent. Both distances start together at 10:30 from Bath Racecourse, threading through the village of North Stoke, along the Cotswold Way, and past the old hill fort at Kelston Roundhill, with terrain that is mostly rough track, some grass, and minimal tarmac.

The route includes aid stations at Weston, North Stoke, and Prospect Stile, plus encouragement at Kelston Roundhill. The half marathon operates a cut-off time at Prospect Stile; runners unable to meet it will be redirected towards the finish and awarded a 10k time. Bath Racecourse, situated six miles south of Junction 18 of the M4, offers free parking and is well signposted. Prizes go to the top three finishers in each race, with additional awards for course records.
