About Beacons Ultra
Talybont-on-Usk in Powys provides the setting for the Beacons Ultra, a trail-based event taking place on 7 November 2026 across three distances. Runners can choose the half marathon (13 miles), marathon (26 miles) or ultra (49 miles), each following mixed trail, mountain, canal and road terrain in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons. Elevation gains range from 543 metres on the shortest course to 2,258 metres on the ultra distance.
Mid-November weather in the region can be unpredictable, so conditions on the day may vary considerably. The event is open to runners aged 18 and over.
