About Beast Of Bryn
Beast of Bryn takes runners into the mountains of Afan Forest Park near Bryn in Neath Port Talbot on 23 August 2026. Two trail routes wind through the terrain: a 6.5-mile option and a 10.5-mile challenge. The longer distance may count towards the Welsh Athletics Masters Championship for affiliated runners.
The event is organised by the Bryn Residents Action Group, a registered charity that directs profits to local community organisations. Participants must be 18 or over for the main races, though a separate fun run is available for younger participants. The event runs under UK Athletics rules and includes chip timing, marshalled and marked routes, water stations, medical cover and facilities on site.
