About Beat Box Hill 50k
Beat Box Hill takes runners into the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on 10 October 2026. Based at Box Hill National Trust, the trail event follows sections of the North Downs Way and climbs the famous Box Hill steps—terrain that has challenged athletes since the 2012 Olympics. The route winds through chalk paths and ancient yew woodland with views across the Mole Valley.
Aid stations are spaced along the course offering water, electrolytes, sports drinks, fruit, sweets, salty snacks and energy bars, with gels available at select points. The event is cupless, so runners should bring their own cup or soft flask. Walking poles are permitted. A mandatory pre-race briefing takes place at Base Camp before the start, and all races are chip-timed with results posted online. The race village provides bag drop, portaloos, food, hot drinks and a kit stall.
