About Beat the Ferry
Taking place on 10 July 2027, Beat the Ferry is a coastal trail running event held in Studland, Dorset. Starting from Knoll Beach, the race follows sections of the South West Coast Path across the Purbeck peninsula, passing chalk cliffs, National Trust dunes, castle ruins and harbour views before returning to Knoll House Hotel for the finish.
Two distance options are available: a 25 km route that turns around near Corfe Castle, and a 50 km course that extends further to Grange Hill. Both follow measured elevations across the trail terrain. The event runs as a relatively small field, with registration and bib collection at race headquarters. A swim at Knoll Beach is possible after the race.
