About Beck Busters
Beck Busters takes place at Bishop Monkton Primary School in North Yorkshire on 20 September 2026, organised by the Friends of Bishop Monkton Primary School with proceeds supporting the school. The 10 km trail race forms the centrepiece of the event, which also includes a 2 km Fun Run for younger participants.
The 10 km follows a single lap of mixed terrain across roads, footpaths and trails. Runners set out on quiet country roads before heading cross country towards the River Ure and Ripon Canal, passing through Littlethorpe village before returning across the countryside to Bishop Monkton. The route finishes with a splash through the beck. The shorter Fun Run incorporates a country road and farm track, with an optional splash through the beck of its own. Both races are chip timed and start and finish at the school, with the Fun Run held before the main event.
