About Benfleet 15
Running in mid-January, the Benfleet 15 takes place on 17 January 2027 as a 15 mile trail race across multi-terrain around Hadleigh Country Park in Essex. The undulating course incorporates sections of the 2012 Olympic mountain bike circuit, the Canvey Island sea wall and Hadleigh Downs, with muddy and slippery off-road surfaces throughout. Elevated views across the Thames Estuary feature along the route.
The race operates a cupless water policy, so runners must bring their own water receptacle or purchase a reusable cup. Route maps and GPX files are available for download beforehand. The event is not suitable for spiked shoes or wheelchair competitors. Parking at Hadleigh Country Park is pay and display, with additional free parking available nearby at several locations including The King John School and Rectory Road Car Park.
