Trail runners looking to explore London's green spaces will find two options in Beyond Trails London, taking place on 5 June 2027. The 25 km and 55 km routes follow sections of the Capital Ring footpath through Greater London, starting from Woolwich or Upper Norwood and finishing at Old Deer Park in Richmond.
The longer route ventures onto footpaths, parks, woodland and disused railway lines, passing Eltham Palace and Richmond Park. The shorter 25 km course takes in views across Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park whilst following part of the same inner circle. Both routes are fully signed and supported, with feed stations positioned along the way – the 55 km has three, while the 25 km has one at Wimbledon Common.
Runners can download a GPX file in advance and arrange baggage transfer between start locations and the finish. Start and finish points are accessible by public transport, though parking cannot be guaranteed.
