About Black Mountain Relay
A 50 km trail relay across the Black Mountains, the event combines mountain running with navigation and tactical planning. Teams of five to ten runners transport a baton between GPS gateways, choosing their own route and deciding where to hand over. Rather than following preset stages, each team plots its strategy, making decisions about pacing and runner rotation on the day.
The course covers mountain trails, open hillsides and remote terrain in the Black Mountains near Llanigon in Powys.
