About Black Nore 10km
On 27 September 2026, Portishead Running Club hosts a 10km trail race along the North Somerset coast. Starting from Battery Point Bell in Portishead, runners follow a route that takes in the coastal path and esplanade, passing Black Nore Lighthouse and Redcliffe Bay with views across the Bristol Channel toward Wales.
The terrain is mixed and undulating, combining grass, mud, rocks and tarmac. Expect uneven ground that may be slippery in wet conditions. The course features a more sustained climb around the halfway point, a descent back toward the coast, a short climb near the sailing club and a faster seafront finish. Participants should be aged 16 or over, and headphones are not permitted.
