About Blackpool "Run the Lights" Illuminations 10k & 5k
Runners of all abilities can take on either the 5k or 10k trail route at this Blackpool event on 14 August 2027. The course starts at the Comedy Carpet near Blackpool Tower and follows the seafront promenade past iconic landmarks including the Pleasure Beach. As daylight fades, the Blackpool Illuminations light up the route with their spectacular display.
The terrain is flat and suitable for those chasing personal bests as well as those new to running. Water stations are positioned throughout the course, and all finishers receive a commemorative medal. The event is chip-timed and UK Athletics licensed.
