About Blacksheep 3 and 6 Hour Challenge
Sitting on the edge of the North Yorkshire Dales near Masham, this trail event invites runners to tackle looped courses at their own pace over either three or six hours. Organised by Its Grim Up North Running and held on 11 July 2027 at Mashamshire Tennis Club, competitors complete as many laps as they can within their chosen time window on a route described as flat(ish) that mixes off-road sections with some road, taking in stiles, gates and a steady climb.
Feed and drink stations are positioned approximately every three miles around the course, which is marshalled, signed and supported with downloadable GPX files for navigation. Finishers receive a bespoke medal along with a sausage sandwich and a beer, with vegetarian and alcohol-free options available. The event runs under UKA rules licensed by the Trail Running Association.
