About Blencathra Marathon
Blencathra Marathon takes runners on a 26-mile trail route through the Lake District fells, starting and finishing in Caldbeck on 5 September 2027. The circular course climbs nearly 6000 feet and passes five Wainwright summits: Bowscale, Blencathra, Mungrisdale Common, Knott and High Pike.
Designed for experienced fell and trail runners as well as fell walkers, the event is fully tracked and includes two water and snack checkpoints on course. Support continues at the finish with snacks and hot drinks. Entrants must be at least 18 years old.
