About Bournemouth Coastal TEN
Organised by a local running group committed to reducing plastic waste, the Bournemouth Coastal TEN takes runners along the seafront paths of this Dorset seaside town on 5 December 2026. The 10-mile trail route, largely flat and traffic-free, passes Boscombe Pier where clear days reveal views across to the Isle of Wight and The Needles, and winds through the nature reserve at Hengistbury Head.
The event is chip-timed with water stations and first aid support positioned along the course. Runners should bring a reusable cup or bottle as part of the event's plastic-free approach. Registration happens on arrival at Centro Pizza, and pink-marked course signage guides the way. Dogs are not permitted. Spectators can watch from the seafront venue, which offers hard-standing parking and facilities at Hengistbury Head.
