Bournemouth's Town to Trail takes runners on an eight-mile loop that transitions from the urban heart of Bournemouth into the natural landscapes beyond. Starting and finishing near Bournemouth Square, the route winds through Victorian gardens and tree-lined paths before entering Meyrick Park, where pine woodland, heath and open parkland make up the latter stages. The fully marked course covers mixed surfaces with gentle undulation and a total climb of 81 metres, rated at difficulty level 2 out of 5.
The event takes place on 22 August 2027, with race headquarters and registration based at Bobby's & Co at PATCH in Bournemouth Square. The actual start line sits at the pagoda in Middle Gardens. Trail shoes are recommended though not required, and runners comfortable with a five-kilometre pace should manage the distance. A GPX file is available for those wanting to preview or follow the route on their device. A single aid station is positioned within Meyrick Park to support runners during the course.
