About Brechfa Trail Marathon
Brechfa Trail Races take runners through Brechfa Forest on the Wind and Water Trail, a route established by Natural Resources Wales. The event offers two distances—13 miles for the half marathon or 26 miles for the marathon—both following the same loop through mostly forestry tracks. The course winds past pine stands and deciduous woodland, with open panoramic views and waterfalls along the way.
Taking place on 13 March 2027 from Bryn Stores in Brechfa, Carmarthenshire, the races are fully supported with medical cover, regular marshalling, marked routes and aid stations providing snacks and water. Runners must carry required kit to start, with a kit check at registration. A GPX file is available in advance for route planning.
