About Brecon Beacons 51K
A 51k trail ultramarathon and 24km option both take place across the Brecon Beacons on 7 August 2027, based in Talybont-on-Usk. The routes traverse technical mountain terrain and moorland, crossing sweeping open sections, forestry trails, glacial valleys and exposed ridges with panoramic views toward Pen y Fan, Cribyn and the Black Mountains.
The courses are clearly waymarked with trail flags, tags and A5 arrows, with marshals positioned at major junctions. GPX files are available to participants, and aid stations are positioned along the routes. Results are recorded by chip timing.
