About Brenig Way 50k Trail
The Brenig Way 50K Trail takes runners on a 50 kilometre journey through Denbighshire on 18 October 2026. Starting from Corwen, the route crosses into Conwy county before climbing into Clocaenog Forest, then descends to the shores of Llyn Brenig for a flatter approach to the finish at the dam. Participants navigate using existing Brenig Way waymarkers, a provided GPX file and event map.
The terrain varies considerably throughout the route, mixing country lanes, technical climbs and descents, grassy riverside paths and forest tracks. Two start times are offered based on estimated finish time: 7am for those anticipating 8-10 hours, and 8am for faster runners. Three checkpoints are positioned along the course where refreshments are available.
