This event supports the Trees Not Tees project. Trees Not Tees work with event organisers to give participants the choice of planting a tree rather than getting a tee they may never wear.

About Brighton Marathon
The Brighton Marathon takes runners on a 26.2-mile trail route through the seaside city on 4 April 2027, starting in the heart of Brighton and finishing on the iconic seafront. The course weaves past famous landmarks as it makes its way to the finish at the Beach Village.
Race day is part of a wider Marathon Weekend, which kicks off on the Friday with the opening of the Beach Village. Participants receive chip timing, live tracking via mobile app, an official technical t-shirt or tree-planting option, a medal, and a goody bag. Training plans and runner communications are provided in the months before the event, with water and gel stations positioned along the course. Friends and family can join in with the BM10k, BM Ride or Mini Mile races, or track runners on the app and meet them at the Beach Village afterwards.
The Beach Village at the finish hosts food, drink, entertainment, seminars, live screens and shopping. Getting there is straightforward via Brighton mainline station, a 15-minute walk from the start in Preston Park, or London Road station, ten minutes away. A Park & Ride service operates on race day with shuttle buses to and from the start and finish.
