About Bristol Epic Trail
Trail runners and ruckers alike will find a challenge at Bristol Epic Trail, held at Ashton Court Estate in Long Ashton on 4 October 2026. The event offers both pure trail running and rucking across 6 km and 10 km distances, with routes incorporating testing climbs and rolling terrain across the estate.
Four entry categories cater to different experience levels at each distance. Pro categories are competitive and divided by age group—Open (35 or under), Masters (36 to 42) and Vets (43 and over)—while Open categories welcome all abilities. Those entering the rucking categories will be supplied with a GORUCK Rucker 4.0 backpack and weights for the day, with specified loads ranging from 10 to 25 lbs depending on category and gender. The event includes finisher medals or patches, bag drop, water stations and on-course photography, with free spectator access available.
