About Brodick Glencloy Trail - Isle of Arran
The Isle of Arran provides the setting for this 10-kilometre trail race organised by Arran Runners. Taking place on 23 August 2026, the event starts and finishes at Ormidale Sports Pavilion in Brodick, following a route that climbs roughly 600 feet to the hill between Brodick and Lamlash before descending into Glen Cloy. The course runs mostly on rough footpaths and forestry roads, with only about 200 yards on tarmac, crossing the Cloy Burn and returning through fields and a track beside the burn.
The terrain suits trail shoes, and the race operates under Scottish Athletics rules with entries capped at around 100 runners. Facilities are available at the sports pavilion.
