Buxworth 5 takes runners on a single lap of quiet country lanes in the Derbyshire Peak District on a late summer evening in August. This certified 5 mile road race, organised by Goyt Valley Striders, features approximately 880ft of ascent spread across several sustained climbs, with a particularly testing final mile.
Race HQ is based at The Paper Mill Inn in Whitehough, where runners collect their numbers before the start. Prizes are awarded across open and veteran categories. The event draws club runners and those seeking a demanding road race beyond the typical flat courses.
