About Caerketton Hill Race
Carnethy Hill Running Club organises this short but demanding hill race on the slopes of Caerketton Hill. Taking place on Wednesday 12 August 2026, the event attracts runners looking to test themselves over a steep 3.6 km trail route with significant climbing.
The course heads uphill to the summit before descending back to the finish at Hillend Ski Centre in Edinburgh. It's a classic format for Scottish hill racing: a concentrated effort on the ascent followed by a fast descent.
