About Caerphilly Trail 10K
Valentine's Day 2027 brings a trail running event to Caerphilly, with both 5 km and 10 km options on quiet countryside routes near Cardiff. The trails wind through fields, woods and hilly sections with varied underfoot conditions, including a notable downhill single-track stretch.
Both courses are fully marked and marshalled, with medical support on site. Participants have two hours to complete their chosen distance, so the route can be walked in full if preferred. Finishers receive medals, and prizes are awarded for overall male and female winners plus first-place male and female runners aged 45 and over. Basic winter kit is recommended for February conditions.
The event starts at the Van Community Centre, Clos Guto, Caerphilly CF83 1QH. Caerphilly train station is approximately one mile from the venue and is served by local rail services. Toilets are available at the start location.
