About Caithness Half Marathon
Runners looking for a quieter half marathon experience will find it on the scenic roads around Watten in the Highland. Organised by North Highland Harriers, this 13.1-mile event takes place on 30 August 2026, following an undulating circular course through mostly single-track country lanes in the vicinity of Loch Watten.
The race starts at noon from near Watten Village Hall, where registration opens from 11:00. Facilities at the hall include toilets, with additional public facilities nearby. Car parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged. The route itself is largely traffic-free, making for a peaceful run through the local landscape.
