About Calderdale Way Relay
This 50-mile relay takes place on Sunday 16 May 2027 across the Calderdale area of West Yorkshire. The six-leg trail event starts at Clay House in West Vale and finishes at Halifax Harriers headquarters at Spring Hall. Teams compete over the off-road route, which is licensed and run under FRA rules.
The race features multiple categories with separate prizes for men's and women's teams, as well as mixed categories. Competitors must be at least 18 years old, though runners on Leg 3 can be 16. Full kit is mandatory for legs one, two and four, while legs three, five and six are weather dependent. Waterproof body cover is recommended for the latter stages. The event also awards the Pete White Trophies to the first men's and ladies teams to reach Stoodley Pike and complete the course.
