About Callow
Callow Fell Race is an AS class fell race organised under WFRA rules and held in Shropshire on 15 November 2026. The 5-mile route near Little Stretton gains 762 metres of ascent across four steep valley climbs before a fast descent to finish, with the course only partially marked so navigational ability is essential.
This is a serious mountain race requiring previous fellrunning or mountain skills experience, and competitors must be over 17. Full WFRA kit is mandatory, including waterproof jacket and trousers with taped seams, hat, gloves, compass, whistle and map; GPS devices cannot be used for navigation. Marshals and signage will be limited. The event starts and finishes near Ragleth Inn in Little Stretton (grid reference 444919 on OS sheet 137). Parking in the area is very restricted, so competitors are asked to be mindful of local residents and avoid using pub car parks.
