This 16-mile trail run takes runners on an anti-clockwise loop around Canvey Island on 18 October 2026, starting and finishing at Waterside Farm Leisure Centre. The course predominantly follows the sea wall and King Charles III England Coast Path, mixing single-track grass sections with wider concrete and gravel trails. Weather and tide conditions permitting, runners can opt for a lower promenade route that showcases local artwork, with no penalty for choosing either path.
A staffed checkpoint around 10 km into the route offers a chance to check in with timers, receive a provided drink and refill water bottles. The event operates under a four-hour cutoff, with tail walkers and joggers sweeping the course. Participants should carry a mobile phone, layers and a lightweight running jacket. The leisure centre provides registration, race numbers and water on arrival, with toilets available at the venue, the Lobster Smack and the south play area. Free car parking is subject to football fixtures; Benfleet Railway Station is roughly an 18-minute walk away. The event is restricted to over 18s, with any child spectators requiring appropriate adult supervision.
