About Castle Trails 30km
Castle Trails 30km is a point-to-point trail race following the River Medway for 30 km from Little Fant Farm in East Farleigh to Tonbridge School Centre on 5 June 2027. The route uses riverside trails and passes through Teston Country Park, Wateringbury, Yalding and the Hop Farm before finishing at Tonbridge. Described as flat and fast, the course is fully marked with three staffed checkpoints at Barming Bridge (4 km), Branbridges Leisure (14 km) and Racecourse Park (25 km).
The event includes professional chip timing with live GPS tracking, bag transfer from start to finish, and three fully stocked aid stations. Medical support is on hand throughout, and finishers who complete the course within the official cut-off receive a medal. A finish village at Tonbridge School Centre offers showers, changing facilities and refreshments, with awards for the top three male and female finishers. Participants must be at least 18 years old, remain on the marked course and check in at every checkpoint. Mandatory kit includes a fully charged mobile phone and a minimum 500 ml fluid carrying capacity.
