About Castleton Show Run
Castleton Show Run takes place alongside the local show, offering runners a 6-mile road race through the North York Moors. Starting and finishing at Castleton Showground, the course winds through surrounding countryside via Dibble Bridge, Hob Hole and Westerdale, combining road running with the climbing and terrain that appeals equally to fell runners tackling a road route and road runners seeking fell-race conditions.
The undulating course rewards effort with views across the moors. Run under UK Athletics rules, the event welcomes runners aged 16 and over, with prizes for leading individuals, veteran categories and teams. The race takes place on 12 September 2026.
