The Wirral's coastal paths and disused railway routes come together for this 37-mile ultra, which begins and ends at Hooton Memorial Hall on the Wirral Way. Starting on the flat railway path for the first 12 miles, runners then join the well-signposted Wirral Circular to explore the area's coastal scenery. With just 812 feet of elevation gain over the entire distance, this is a notably flat offering for an ultra.
The trail terrain includes harder ground throughout, so it suits those comfortable with mixed conditions rather than purely technical trail runners. A 12-hour cutoff accommodates walkers alongside runners. Four checkpoints provide water and snacks along the route, which is partially self-navigational with course waymarking. Taking place on 14 November 2026, the event starts from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire West and Chester.
