Run 4 Wales has organised this Cardiff fixture since 1986, and the course delivers on speed: starting and finishing on King Edward VII Avenue, the flat road route winds through central Cardiff past recognisable landmarks including Cardiff Castle, Central Square and the Principality Stadium. The road is fully closed to traffic, and the path crosses the River Taff towards Pontcanna before heading through the listed parkland of Llandaff and Pontcanna Fields, passing Sophia Gardens before returning to the Civic Centre.
The 10K takes place on 5 September 2027, with chip timing and live tracking via the Run 4 Wales app. A 2 km event runs beforehand.
