About Centurion North Downs Way 50

Centurion Running's NDW50 follows the first 50 miles of the North Downs Way National Trail, starting at Farnham in Surrey and finishing at Knockholt Pound Village Hall on the outskirts of Greater London. This 50-mile trail race takes place on 15 May 2027, with approximately 80 percent trail and 20 percent road running over roughly 5,600 feet of ascent. The route passes through or near Puttenham, Guildford, Ranmore Common, Box Hill, Colley Hill, Merstham and Oxted, following North Downs Way signposts marked with Centurion arrows and ribbons.

Now in its 16th year, the event forms part of the 50 Mile Grand Slam series. Runners have 13 hours to complete the course, with intermediate cutoffs at aid stations along the way. Six fully stocked aid stations and medical support are provided, though some road crossings are unmarked and runners navigate their own way. Pacers and crew assistance are not permitted, and spectators cannot access aid stations. Finishers receive a medal, with prizes for the first three finishers in each gender and across veteran categories.
