About Chiltern Ridge Half Marathon
The Chiltern Ridge Half Marathon follows The Ridgeway National Trail through Buckinghamshire, taking in a loop through Whiteleaf Hill Nature Reserve. The 13.1-mile trail course climbs approximately 526 metres as it runs between Wendover and Princes Risborough, starting and finishing in Wendover on 4 July 2027.
The entirely off-road route is marked with orange arrows and ribbons, with marshals positioned at road crossings and busier sections. Two on-route aid stations at Green Hailey (passed twice) provide water, cola, gels, chews, jelly babies and crisps, with toilet facilities available at the checkpoint. The event operates under a 4-hour time limit and accommodates a maximum of 350 runners. It is licensed by the Trail Running Association, held under UKA rules, and recognised as a UTMB World Series index race.
Parking is available at Wendover train station, with registration at the Shoulder of Mutton pub and a short 500-metre walk to the start. Runners aged 17 and over can enter with no qualification requirement.
