About Clipston Trail Half
A pair of trail races starting from All Saints' Church in Northampton on 20 September 2026 offers runners two options for exploring the Northamptonshire countryside. The 5-mile course and the 13.1-mile half marathon both begin opposite the pavilion in Clipston, climbing immediately into undulating terrain. Both events use a mix of footpaths and bridleways with some sections on minor country roads, creating a rural loop that takes in views across the local landscape. The half marathon route accumulates 237 metres of elevation gain.
The races are organised in conjunction with the Clipston Recreation Field Trust, a charity that has maintained and developed the playing fields since the early 1980s.
